Trainsimmers Against Trespass

Signals at red

Welcome

The train-sim community has since it's formation (like the rail enthusiast and railway model community) been opposed to trespassing on railway lines.

Originally started in 2002 in response to rail industry efforts, a small group within the train-sim community, posted the original "Trainsimmers against Trespass" campaign. Via a web-page this initiative aimed to educate the public as to the risks trespassing on railways posed, and by doing so reduce the deaths, serious injury and disruption it causes. When started, the main focus of the campaign was a simple one page website, providing downloadable banners for supporters to display in their forum signatures.

Since 2002, the incidence of trespass and vandalism on the rail network has actually fallen, due to the 'zero-tolerance' attitude taken by the industry and operators alike. Sadly, as some recent events have shown, trespass and vandalism still remains an open issue.

With this in mind, and as well as to improve the accessibility of the campaign, the Trainsimmers Against Trespass website has been updated and redesigned by a supporter of the campaign.
